Dutch electronics specialist, JVC Professional, has announced an expansion of its popular D-ILA projector range.
The four new projectors in the range offer significant improvements on their predecessor models, including the new, improved ‘e-shift2’ technology, with upconverts and scales HD content to a 4K signal.
The four projectors, which will become available this month, are the DLA-RS46, DLA-RS48, DLA-RS56 and DLA-RS66, all of which are 3D enabled and all, except the basic RS46 model, offer the e-shift2 capabilities.
The 4K precision that e-shift2 allows means that pictures are displayed in 3840 x 2160 resolution – twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of conventional 1920 x 1080 HD images, with four times the number of pixels.
The enhancements also see the use of proprietary JVC algorithms to replace a two-band filter with an eight-band filter, which allows for greater correction of the image in more areas. This facility is controlled by a Multiple Pixel Control, which gives five preset modes plus Off.
Improved circuitry in the 3D performance combines with a new optical engine responsible for reduced cross talk, and a new lamp and power supply improves the brightness and lamp life of the projectors.
