Jurassic World smashes box office records

Projector owners can look forward to the DVD release of Jurassic World later this year after the film smashes box office records.

The blockbuster took a record $1 billion in the fastest time ever as fans descended on cinemas to see the 3D hit.

With the Jurassic World DVD release expected for October 2015, home cinema owners will have the opportunity to experience the eye-popping visual effects in the comfort of their own home.

Cinema-goers have been wowed by the visual effects in Colin Trevorrow's movie, which continues to hold onto its number one spot at the box office for the fourth week running.

2015 is already being hailed as a 'blockbuster year', with Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Fast and Furious 7 breaking the $1 billion barrier in the past six months alone – an achievement that was almost unheard of until a few years ago.

Movie buffs will also be treated to the latest instalment of the Star Wars Saga, The Force Awakens, in December. Meanwhile, James Bond fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Spectre on 6 November.

2015's box office success is good news for projector owners, who can experience the stunning visual effects of these movies on their DVD release over the next few months.
