Irvine Barclay Theatre installs new projector
A top theatre in California has announced it has installed a brand new projector.
Irvine Barclay Theatre, which hosts up to 200 events a year, has purchased a Hitachi CP-X8170 to provide a visual accompaniment to many of the shows.
Chris Burrill, general manager at Irvine Barclay Theatre, explained that the facility had not been planning to buy a projector, but won the device in a competition.
Speaking to Studio Live Design, he said he was "delighted" with the acquisition and added: "We get lots of shows that aren’t completely self-contained, and for those shows the Hitachi CP-X8170 saves us and our clients both time and money."
The Hitachi CP-X8170 projector boasts features such as HD capability and the zoom lens has already been used at the California theatre.
Buyers can also use the projector's two-speed motorised function to make fine adjustments through the remote control or RS232/IP device. A display rotation of 360 degrees will also be useful for Irvine Barclay Theatre.
