Thirty of Optoma’s EX785 XGA projectors have been installed in the offices of the ING Bank in Belgium, providing a 270-degree ambience projection set up in two of its biggest meeting rooms.
The projectors have been set up so that their edge-blending technology has created an image that is more than 20 metres wide and covers three sides of the room.
The projectors were installed as part of a major overhaul of the presentation facilities at the offices. AV integration company, AV Line, was taken on to carry out the work and the key part of their design brief was to realise the ambience vision within incredibly tight throw distance constraints and without shadowing the images.
The technicians from AV Line were assisted by museum display specialists, Wave, who provided blending expertise. Wave’s Michael Deck, said that the Optoma projectors were the perfect models for the job.
“The Optoma ProScene projectors were chosen to meet the requirements of flexibility, short throw capability and their ability to project off-axis,” he said. “The unique feature of the EX785 is its ability to enable full range lens shift with a short throw ratio of only 0.8. This feature enabled AV Line to realise their ambience vision within the incredibly tight throw distance constraints.”
