InFocus Corp has today announced the launch of the new IN5550 projector series, which has been designed to project crystal clear images in large venues such as university auditoriums, hotel meeting rooms and convention halls.
The three projectors of the range – the IN5552L, IN5554L and IN5555L – have brightness of up to 8,300 lumens and include dual lamps for full-power 24/7 operation. They have motorised lens shift and 360-degree projection and image blending, allowing users to project different images from multiple projectors.
InFocus product manager, Dave Duncan, said that they always had vivid and gorgeous imagery in large venues in mind when they were designing the devices.
“The projection challenges in large spaces like convention centres are very different from those of a classroom or conference room,” he explained. “We build all of our projector lines to be best utilised in specific spaces. For large venues, there are no better projectors than the IN5550 series.”
The 3G-SDI and HDMI 1.4 capabilities of the projectors mean that they can display HD-quality video and audio from a variety of sources. They have a variety of wired and wireless control options – including RS232, RJ45 Telnet Network Control and wired remote – and are compatible with six interchangeable lenses ranging from short throw to ultra-long throw.
