InFocus expands LED projector series

Projector manufacturer InFocus has expanded its LED series with the introduction of the book-sized ultra portable IN1142.

Part of the LightPro series, which also includes the iN1146, the IN1142 is designed for ease of transportation, weighs less than two pounds and can be held in one hand.

The IN1142 is the cheapest of the LightPro range at less than $400 USD and costs very little to maintain thanks to the long running light source, which lasts up to 30,000 hours.

Commenting on the projector, InFocus product manager Benjamin Joy said: “LightPro LED projectors, including the IN1142, are really affordable because they last so long, there’s no lamp to replace and it uses less energy. You can use it four hours a day, five days a week, for 50 weeks a year and it’ll last you about 12 years."

The projector provides WXGA (1280 x 800) widescreen projected images and also provides a brightness of 700 lumens. The impressive contract ratio of 10,000:1 is also ideal for highlighting details and vivid colours.

Similar to its predecessor, the IN1142 is easy to set-up and doesn't require warm up or cool down time, so it is ideal for those using it within a conference setting. The projector also features an HDMI port so it is easy to present via a laptop or any other mobile device.
