Epson has used the platform of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) being held in Las Vegas this week to launch its latest portable home theatre/home entertainment projector.

The Epson Home Cinema 750HD is the brightest home cinema projector that the brand has produced so far and allows users to display both 2D and 3D content. The projector has 720p resolution and is capable of rendering movies, video games, sporting events and other content in images of up to 300-inches on the diagonal.

Epson marketing manager, Jason Palmer, said that the 3,000-lumen projector is an exceptionally versatile offering that they hope will make a big impact on the home projector market.

He explained, “The Home Cinema 750HD is ready to display 3D from virtually any Blu-ray player, cable box or video game console right out of the box, unlike other 3D 720p projectors on the market today that are not compatible with Blu-ray players or game consoles, and require an additional format converter for true 3D.”

The projector has a 1.2x optical zoom giving optimum positioning flexibility, with automatic vertical keystone (+/- 30 degrees) correction and Instant Off technology which minimises heating up and cooling off times.

The Epson Home Cinema 750HD will be priced at around £560 and is expected to be available in late March.
