According to PMA Research, Epson has grown its market share in North America to 48 per cent in units sold for 2015, representing a five-point increase year-on-year.

Along with a number of units sold, Epson has also continued its growth in revenue market share to 34 per cent, representing a four-point increase year-on-year, which according to the report, is the largest share growth of any projector manufacturer.

The study looked into each segment of the projector market and found that regarding business projectors, Epson retained its pole position with a 48 per cent growth. In education too, the BrightLink interactive projectors also remained the clear choice in the market with a 67 per cent market share. Home Theatre projectors also achieved a significant market share for Epson, sitting in first place, with 45 per cent market share.

The report suggests the main reasons for those big percentage shares is down to a number of factors in Epson projectors. Epson 3LCD projectors offer up to three times higher brightness than leading competitive projectors, according to the report, as well as providing a high usability experience in collaboration tools in its BrightLink interactive projectors and extremely high image quality in its Pro G and Pro Z Series.

Richard Miller, the director for projectors Epson America, commented on the research: “Epson's focus on delivering uncompromising image quality via our 3LCD technology means we consistently provide users with big, vibrant images, high colour brightness, and superior readability. Our continuous growth and high market share in each of these markets is a direct result of our product quality and the strong support of Epson's channel partners."
