Projectors from Epson, Optoma and Dell have come out on top in a survey of the best projectors to use for educational purposes.

The Classroom Projector Report has been compiled by leading industry website, ProjectorReviews.com. It has analysed more than 60 devices, giving extensive reviews, full feature-benefit comparison charts and in-depth discussion of classroom defining features.

The first "Best-in-Classroom" awards were bestowed on Epson, Optoma, BenQ, Casio and Dell, and were based on a combination of performance and features that make them representative of the best classroom projectors.

Art Feierman, president of ProjectorReviews.com, said, "We set out to give education professionals a definitive and timely resource to assist their decision-making."

"We have been reviewing education projectors for years, so an in-depth report to help our readers seemed logical."

The report is divided into two sections. The first considers 13 projectors, examining features crucial to classroom projectors including brightness, resolution, networking, portability, 3D capabilities, and interactivity. It also considers long-term ownership costs, including lamp life, replacement cost, warranty and maintenance.

The second section is a comprehensive comparison chart of more than 60 projectors by 13 manufacturers, including extensive product specifications, as well as commentary from the ProjectorReviews.com staff.
