The firm's Pro Cinema 6040UB was praised by the experts at Cedia, a global trade group representing the home technology industry, for offering home cinema fans “unbelievable” 4K entertainment content at an “extremely affordable price point”.
The rAVe 2016 Best of Cedia Awards looked at devices from more than 500 firms and singled out Epson’s Pro Cinema 6040UB as the leading Best New Home Entertainment Projector, thanks to its performance, design, features and overall value for money.
The 6040UB is Epson’s first projector to have 4K UHD signal input and high dynamic range support. Designed for home cinema fanatics as well as professional projector installers, it comes with a whole host of whizz-bang specifications, including a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2,500 lumens of colour brightness, 4K signal input and support for 4K streaming devices and high definition Blu-ray content – as well as a powered lens with motorised zoom.
“Epson’s Pro Cinema 6040UB 4K Enhancement technology delivers unbelievable 4K content at an extremely affordable price point,” said Gary Kayye, founder and editor-in-chief at rAVe.
“Epson continues to be the sales leader and consistent in market trending. First they enter a market, and then they rise to the top of it.”
