World-leading projector manufacturer, Epson, used the CEDIA Expo held in Indiana this month to showcase a line-up of new additions to its home and professional cinema projector ranges.

The brand unveiled its new releases for its Power Lite series of projectors, the Home Cinema 3020/3020e, 5020UB/5020UBe, and Pro Cinema 6020UB, all of which make use of 3LCD technology.

The 3020 and 3020e models are entry-level offerings, providing a native 1080p display resolution and 40,000:1 contrast ratio, with up to 2,300 lumens of brightness supported by a 230 watt lamp. The 3020 has both 2D and 3D viewing capabilities, coming equipped with two pairs of rechargeable 3D glasses, and includes a built-in 10 watt speaker system. The 3020e has all of the features of the 3020, but the ‘e’ represents its ‘extra’ connectivity options, coming with wireless HDMI connectivity and source switching for up to 5 HDMI sources.

The mid-range 5020UB and 5020UBe models both have 1080p native resolutions and 2D and 3D capabilities (with glasses), but they provide 2,400 lumens of colour and a contrast ratio of 320,000:1. The ‘e’ in the 5020Ube also signifies that it comes with the same enhanced connectivity options as the 3020e.

The Pro Cinema 6020UB takes the foundation of the 5020 models and adds THX 2D and 3D capabilities, colour isolation, a ceiling mount and a second lamp.
