Projectors with network capability are one of the latest announcements from leading manufacturer Epson.

The firm has unveiled its EB-9 series mainstream multimedia projectors, including the EB-95, 96W, 905, 915W and the 925. The machines make use of a projector lamp that is 20 per cent more efficient than conventional lamps, lowering the gadgets’ energy consumption and reducing expenditure for the owner. Indeed, the lamp can offer a lifespan of up to 6,000 hours.

Despite this, Epson’s proprietary 3LCD projection technology ensures that the picture doesn’t suffer. Three separate LCD panels of red, green and blue are implemented to ensure smooth projection of images without colour breakup or distorted image patterns.

But it could be the ease of connectivity that really sells the new EB-9 series. Buyers can choose from an Ethernet port, central network control and an optional wireless LAN projection, Tech2 reported. As Samba Moorthy, division head of sales and marketing in Epson India explained, the projectors are great for classroom use.

“With a host of advanced features, the Epson EB-9 series is ideal for school and corporate users who require great flexibility and value for money,” he explained. “Moreover, the series comes with five different models giving users the option to pay only for the features they need.”
