Leading projector manufacturer Epson will see its name emblazoned across one of the world's most high-profile platforms, after it signed a global sponsorship agreement with football superclub, Manchester United.

The manufacturer is now the club's official office equipment partner, supplying the club with its equipment throughout its Old Trafford ground and training facility. The Epson brand will be aligned with the club, to raise its profile across the globe.

The partnership was announced in Manchester on Friday in an event attended by the club's manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, chief executive, David Gill, and the entire first team. It preceded the team's stunning 7-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Speaking at the event, Epson’s Global President, Minoru Usui, said the partnership would succeed in bringing the Epson brand closer to its global customer base.

"Leading the way through constant creativity and innovation both brands share a commitment to achieving the highest standards," he said. "Our vision to excite and inspire customers is represented by Manchester United’s success on the pitch and the unique printer and projector technology for which Epson is renowned."

Mr Gill welcomed Epson as one of their commercial partners and said it would give them the opportunity to develop an exciting communications programme that would help both companies achieve their business goals.
