Epson has added four new projector models to its successful PowerLite 1700-series of projectors.

The sleek new models – the 1751, 1761W, 1771W and 1776W – all weigh less than four pounds and are as thin as a laptop computer. The high-brightness projectors have been specifically tailored to suit mobile professionals and corporations.

Epson America Inc’s product manager for projectors, Brian Savarese, said that the new devices offer between 2,600 and 3,000 lumens of brightness and a host of features and connectivity options.

“The next-generation PowerLite 1700-series are ultra-slim at 1.7-inches tall, incredibly portable at 3.7 pounds and deliver extremely powerful features,” Mr Savarese said.

“Easy setup, wireless options, HDMI, and EPSON iProjection™ compatibility bring new solutions to road warriors who need presentation tools with convenience and smart design, without sacrificing performance.”

He said that the models will give presenters absolute confidence that they will deliver optimum results, whether on the road or in the office.

The projectors have a 1.2x zoom, requiring a shorter throw distance, which allows for the projection of large images in smaller rooms. The projectors are capable of throwing images as large as 60 inches from a distance of as little as four feet. They all have Epson’s Instant Off feature, which brings down warming up and cooling down times, and have lamp lives of up to 4,000 hours.
