  3. Christie projectors installed in Aerospace Centre

    World-leading projector manufacturer Christie and 3Dims have developed a 4K simulation visualisation for the German Aerospace Centre.

    The new system at the DLR's Centre for Lightweight Production Technology in Augsburg allows up to four engineers to simultaneously present and compare their results in 4K, enabling easier collaboration on projects.

    Christie hopes that in the future it will be possible for other team members to look at the results on their own screens and to share their own content.

  4. Christie reveals omnidirectional projector

    Leading projector manufacturer Christie has revealed its latest creation, the world’s first 4K omnidirectional 3DLP projector.

    The Christie Mirage 304K has been unveiled at the IVR, which is Japan’s largest exhibition focusing on new 3D and high definition image technologies, taking place on 24 and 25 June. The new projector makes use of the company's Christie TruLife Electronics platform and it boasts 30,000 lumens of brightness as well as a video-processing pipeline of up to 1.2 Gigapixels.

  5. Philips and Optoma showcase groundbreaking HLD projector

    Technology leader Philips has joined forces with projector manufacturer Optoma to create projection technology boasting outstanding image quality.

    The two companies will be showcasing the ColorSpark High Lumen Density (HLD) LED projection technology at Florida's InfoComm 2015.

  6. Optoma releases new 3D home cinema projector

    Optoma has announced it is releasing a brand new 3D home cinema projector - the HD37.

    The device is a full HD 1080p projector with BrilliantColor technology, while it also features an all-glass multi-coated lens that has vertical lens shift in order to deliver "a beautiful image and installation flexibility".

    Optoma also revealed the projector is ISFccc Certified for calibrated Day/Night viewing modes.

  7. Christie projection technology used to create HD powerwall

    Christie's projection technology has been used by an automotive company to create a giant HD powerwall.

    The company's Christie Mirage 4K25 3DLP 4K 3D projectors were used in conjunction with Christie Twist and Christie AutoCal at GM's Vehicle Engineering Center.

    Dave Muscat, senior director for the Americas region in visualisation, simulation and control room solutions at Christie, stated that the firm was "honoured" to have been chosen for the project.

  8. Christie projectors fitted at ACC Liverpool

    New Christie projectors have been installed at ACC Liverpool as part of an upgrade of its technology.

    The conference facility selected two Roadster HD14K-M projectors to be used at the site, with the devices picked by ACC Liverpool over other leading 3DLP projectors.

    ACC Liverpool's senior production and technical manager Nicky Norman explained that the old projector had been in use since ACC Liverpool opened in 2008.

  9. Optoma reveals new business projectors

    Projector manufacturer Optoma has revealed a pair of new devices aimed at the enterprise market.

    The company announced that the lightweight and portable W351 and X351 projectors both come with a three year De-Re projector warranty and three year lamp warranty.

    Targeted at classrooms and meeting rooms, the projectors can be managed remotely through the firm's Compatible RoomView software. This means IT managers will be able to turn them off remotely to save power when they are not in use.

  10. Optoma named top projector seller in Americas

    Optoma is the top selling projector manufacturer in both North and South America, the firm has said.

    New models such as the HD26, HD141X, GT1080, HD161X, HD1009, EH200ST and HD50 have helped Optoma to assert its dominance in key markets such as Brazil and the United States.

    The Q4 2014 PMA Research report showed that the firm has the number one spot in the DLP 1080p projector market.
