UK-based production company DisplayMapper, part of Projection Artworks, has introduced applications for the retail sector which use daylight-visible 3D video-mapped projections onto, as well as around, products to show promotional messages.
The retail display technology system, which is set to be launched later this month, allows users not only to develop, but also automatically deliver, their own bespoke content via cloud-based software.
The production specialist says that this new technology combined with its own expertise, will result in stunning solutions.
Point of Sales (POS) displays, will provide more engaging and specially tailored promotion messages. Furthermore, the equipment to be used in store to create the bespoke content from a central control system is low cost, industry standard, user friendly and easy to maintain.
Tom Burch, who is the managing director of DisplayMapper and Projection Artworks revealed: “DisplayMapper enables clients to transform existing content into amazing 3D displays that can be viewed in daylight.
“3D video-mapping is undoubtedly more engaging than conventional screens, but until now have been cost prohibitive in retail. DisplayMapper solves the technical challenges and content creation costs can be amortised across hundreds of sites. DisplayMapper allows a whole new generation of POS displays to be born.”
