Cinemin Slice is a portable pico projector that you can connect to almost any multimedia device, projecting your films, videos, games, photos and slides on to walls and ceiling surfaces, and even offering rich stereo sound.

The Cinemin Slice is not yet available in the UK but its manufacturer, Wowwee, claims that it will be released here this month and is taking pre-orders now.

Wowwee describes the three-sided Slice as offering “versatile connectivity, stunning projection, and big sound.” The company says that it will connect to pretty much any media player and is perfect for multimedia, small groups, small rooms and places where a TV can’t fit.

Users can dock their iPad or iPhone, for example, and use their games and apps in a new way. Alternatively users can use the device to plug in their laptop and supersize its desktop.

The company says that in a dimly lit room, Slice can project a crisp 60-inch image from a distance of 10 feet, or from floor-to-ceiling in a typical room.

In terms of sound quality, Slice exceeds what you normally get from a pico. It features crystal-clear 6 watt stereo speakers, and has a headphone jack and an infrared remote control for adjusting volume and changing tracks.
