Technology brand Acer has announced the world’s first projector with a hidden internal Chromecast wireless dongle support, marking the first of the firm's new 2015 offerings.
The dedicated adaptor within the Acer H7550ST allows users to connect their Chromecast dongles, enabling simple, fast content sharing as well as the potential to stream audio to Bluetooth speakers.
The device also boasts 1080p Full HD visual capabilities, 3,000 lumens of brightness and 20W stereo audio.
Melanie Tarpey, director of Acer’s Peripheral Business, said: "Our newest home entertainment projector is one of our best yet. Leading short throw technology increases flexibility in placement options, while a wireless adapter makes transferring and projecting data easier and more convenient than ever."
The Acer H7550ST is able to project images up to 100 inches across thanks to its native 16:9 aspect ratio. It also has a 16,000:1 contrast ratio, 3D support at 44Hz 24fps, HD 3D connections and integrated 2D-3D conversion technology.
The projector will be available for British customers to purchase from March of this year, priced at around £782. It will be on display at CES 2015, the global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow, which will run this year from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, Nevada.
