Christie signs AV deal with Spanish cinema multiplex
Leading projector company Christie has signed a deal with Odeon Multicines, a Spanish cinema chain, to install Christie Solaria projectors and Christie Vive Audio sound systems in a new complex in Madrid.

Two of the 12 screens will be equipped with the 3DLP 4K RGB Christie Solaria CP421LH laser projectors. These projectors will be supported by Christie’s Freedom laser illumination system reproducing a full colour spectrum. The other 10 will use 4K xenon lamp projectors, including the Christie CP4220 models. All of the projectors support passive 3D cinema.

The projectors will also all feature Christie’s Vive Audio speakers and amps, allowing the cinema screens be fitted out with a completely immersive sound experience. The Christie sound system will aid in the overall Dolby Atmos sound experience and offer a complete audio and visual experience.

Adil Zerou, the director for cinema for Europe at Christie, commented on the agreement: “This will make it the most advanced complex of its kind in Spain and the first in the country to be entirely equipped with Christie Vive Audio and Dolby Atmos together in every auditorium.”

Luis Carlos Millan Lopez, the owner of Odeon Multicines, is delighted with the deal, explaining: “Our goal is to introduce the latest technological advances that will guarantee our spectators the very best sound and image. We were bowled over when we saw Christie laser projectors, the unmatched brightness, quality and realism of the 3D.”
