Digital projection manufacturer Christie has been selected as the sole DLP Cinema projector provider for this year's prestigious cinema exhibition, CineAsia.

CineAsia 2013 is taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 and 11 December, and is the only Pan-Asian event of its kind that unites film and projection professionals from across the world.

Mr Robert H. Sunshine, managing director of the annual convention, said: “We’re honoured to bring CineAsia 2013 to Hong Kong and pleased to count Christie as a sponsor. Christie’s state-of-the-art equipment delivers flexibility, functionality, and the finest visual cinematic experience possible."

The Christie Solaria Series, which will be used to project feature films at the convention, is designed to fit screens up to 35 feet wide, including those in cinemas and post-production houses.

Developed to deliver the most reliable DCI-compliant digital cinema solution possible, the Christie Solaria Series are known for their ease of operation and low level maintenance requirements.

Vice president of Christie Asia Pacific, Lin Yu, has highlighted the company's delight at being able to showcase their products at the popular convention.
