New Christie projectors have been installed at ACC Liverpool as part of an upgrade of its technology.
The conference facility selected two Roadster HD14K-M projectors to be used at the site, with the devices picked by ACC Liverpool over other leading 3DLP projectors.
ACC Liverpool's senior production and technical manager Nicky Norman explained that the old projector had been in use since ACC Liverpool opened in 2008.
"As technology advances, so it is important for us to keep up with developments," she said.
The new 13,500 lumens HD 3DLP projectors will be used in ACC Liverpool's main conference room, which can seat 1,350 delegates.
Christie's Roadster HD14K-M projectors are the most compact in their class and they also come fully equipped with features such as embedded warping, blending and colour matching capabilities.
Dave Bateman, ACC Liverpool's senior technician (vision), stated that the Christie HD14K-M projectors are "leaps and bounds ahead of the competition in terms of image quality, processing and output level".
He said: "When we tested them alongside competitive higher rated projectors Christie easily came out on top."
One of the two Roadster HD14K-M projectors is permanently installed in the main auditorium at ACC Liverpool, while the other flight-cased projector is portable and has been made available for third-party hire.
