Christie has announced the launch of a new product, the Roadie 4K45, which the company says is the brightest lamp-illuminated projector available.
Delivering 4K (4096×2160) resolution and 45,000 lumens at 60 Hz with optional 120 Hz capability, the Roadie 4K45 was shown off by the company at the Live Design International show, which ran from 21 to 23 November at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Christie has hailed the projector for being suitable for concerts, casinos, sports events, amusement parks, conventions, annual meetings and more.
Mike Garrido, senior product manager at Christie, said: "Rental stagers often deal with unavoidable ambient light and now, with the new, even brighter Roadie, that effect is minimised more than ever."
Mr Garrido added that for the audience, it means they will see "a brighter, richer picture with more vivid detail and a better overall experience".
Christie has also noted that the combination of 4K, 60 or 120 hertz and DLP reliability contained in the Roadie 4K45 "easily manages the rigorous demands of rental staging and delivers an impeccable image performance".
Patented Christie TruLife electronics are included in the product for high resolution lifelike images, while Christie has provided full connectivity with standard display port and 3G-SDI input modules. User-replaceable lamps that are used in the projector can also be automatically aligned at the push of a button.
The Roadie 4K45 is available from March 2015 and the projector comes with a three-year parts and labour warranty.
