Christie demonstrating technology at key Chinese expo
International projector manufacturer, Christie, is demonstrating a wide range of its most up-to-date technology at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV) this week.
Among the devices and technology that are being most heavily pushed at the event is the Christie Solaria® One, which industry people can see at an exclusive preview at the event. The Solaria® One is a digital cinema projection system for screen sizes of less than 30 feet. The brand will also be offering demonstrations of its SKA-3D™ audio/video processor and the Christie Integrated Media Block and High Frame Rate (HFR) content.
Christie Asia Pacific vice president, Lin Yu, said that their presence at the show would be a chance to show the world all of the innovative solutions they are developing.
“The recent years have witnessed the fast-moving transition of cinemas from the traditional 35mm film to digital projection,” he explained. “Christie is honored to play a pivotal role in this transition with more than 33,000 digital cinema projectors deployed worldwide. In China, we have a remarkable deployment of more than 4,000 digital cinema projectors to date.”
He added that the China Pavilion at the recent Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea used Christie projectors for a key part of its display at the 93-day event, which drew more than 4,000 visitors everyday.
