China Film Group Corporation (CFGC) has bought 200 new Christie projectors as it expands its digital cinema business in Asia.
The company revealed that it has purchased 200 Christie CP2220 DLP Digital Cinema projectors, meaning CFGC now has 1,000 of Christie's devices in use.
Lin Yu, vice president of Christie Asia Pacific, stated that the partnership between Christie and CFGC has been in place for a number of years and has been successful.
She added: "This goes a long way to show the confidence that CFGC has in our visual solutions and services.
"With our commitment to providing the best and cost-effective digital cinema technologies to exhibitors worldwide, we are confident that the superior picture quality, brightness and reliability of the Christie CP2220 projectors will provide the best cinematic experience for movie-goers and meet the needs of CFGC for many more years to come."
Christie claims that its CP2220 DLP Digital Cinema projector has the lowest operating costs in its class, while the firm also says the device has the brightest and the highest performance of comparable projectors.
The CP2220 DLP Digital Cinema projector has full 2K resolution triple flash for 3D projection, as well as built-in support for HDCP and de-interlacing of alternative content.
Buyers of the digital cinema projector can use the projector for a screen size of up to 21.3 metres and the device weighs just 116 kg.
