The versatile international consumer electronics manufacturer, Casio, has launched a new mercury-free projector, in the form of the XJ-H2650.
The new projector is the latest addition to the line-up of projectors offered by Casio Computer Co. Ltd, and offers a pioneering light source that has a lifespan of around 20,000 hours.
The length of the lifespan means that the XJ-H2650 reduces maintenance and cuts operating costs, while achieving projection at maximum brightness as quickly as five seconds from startup.
The projector delivers WXGA (1280 x 800 dot) high-brightness projection of 3,500 ANSI lumens, making it perfectly suited for larger-scale venues, such as medium-sized halls, and brighter venues such as shops and retail outlets.
The projector also benefits from the range of functions that have been included on Casio’s mercury-free projectors since they were first launched in April 2010. Its energy-saving Intelligent Brightness Control sees integrated light sensors automatically adjust the projection brightness level according to the ambient lighting, reducing power consumption by as much as 63 per cent.
Presentations can be given using a smartphone, through the projector’s wireless connectivity that supports wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11 b/g), or from a USB memory stick.
