Casio has taken advantage of its heritage in laser and LED hybrid light source production and developed a new, refreshed line of SLIM projectors.

The company launched its six new models at the international Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at Las Vegas earlier this month, all of which weigh in at just five pounds. Standing no more than 1.7 inches high, the XJ-A range are the thinnest high-brightness consumer projectors.

They have a wide-angle 2X power zoom lens, giving a very flexible projection distance, while some of them also come with USB capabilities, Wireless Presentations and a presentation timer, making them key pieces of office equipment.

The XJ-A146, XJ-A246 and XJ-A256 models also come with MobiShow, which allows for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, to connect to the projectors over a WiFi connection and display their stored information.

Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division, said that they were very proud of the success of the SLIM series.

“Due to this success, Casio will continue to build on the technology, increase efficiency and streamline costs, bringing the professional presenter the best in class each and every time,” he said. “Today presenters need to have a unit that will continuously deliver and help make the presentation process stress free. Casio’s Lamp-Free projectors provide this as well as a low cost of ownership.”
