Casio launches new Green Slim projectors
Casio America has announced the launch of four additional models in its Green Slim line of projectors – the XJ-A255V, XJ-A250, XJ-A155V and XJ-A150.
Earlier in the year, the company launched what it called the “world’s first mercury-free, laser and LED Hybrid Light source” in its Green Slim range of projectors. The new models include this new technology, eliminating the need for mercury bulbs whilst attaining a brightness of 3,000 lumens.
The new projectors, with a life estimated at 20,000 hours, weigh in at five pounds, or just over two kilos, measure 8.5 inches by 11 by 1.7 (HWD) and have a wide-angle 2X zoom lens and HDMI port.
The XJ-A155V and XJ-A150 models feature a display resolution of 1,024-by-768, while the XJ-A255V and XJ-A250 both have a resolution of 1,280-by-800.
The XJ-A255V and XJ-A155V projectors also contain an 802.11n wireless adapter and offer a USB 2.0 host function. This enables users to show still images and video files (AVI and Motion JPEG formats) and give presentations without needing to attach the projector to a PC.
The new models will be available in the USA this month.
