Projector giant Canon has revealed the launch of its new XEED WUX6500 installation projector. Based on the firm’s flagship WUGXA resolution (1920 x 1200) installation model the WUX6010, the new device has been specifically designed to meet the needs of a huge range of users, delivering impressive brightness of 6,500 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1.
The WUX6500’s main target market is the higher education sector, within which organisations are increasing their investment in modern technology to ensure they can deliver the highest standards of teaching. The latest Canon installation projector is the ideal device to fulfil these requirements, offering high brightness, impressive image clarity and unbeatable colour accuracy within this price range.
The projector’s colour reproduction is achieved using Canon’s own AISYS optical system, which works with the 3xLCOS panels to provide smooth, seamless images. A choice of five lenses ranging from short-throw to ultra-long-throw also add to the final image quality, giving users the opportunity to optimise the installation location for the best results.
Business and public display environments are also a key target for the projector, which delivers easily-adjustable images that can cut through high levels of ambient light. Presentations are also made easy using the WUX6500’s multiple connection options, which make it possible for presenters and venue owners to display their images using just a USB. The projector also features in-built edge blending technology to create an immersive panoramic image.
In additional to aiding accurate image reproduction, the motorised zoom and lens shift technology included in these lenses help to reduce maintenance and installation time, which is also decreased by built-in high definition edge blending technology and registration adjustment. Installation for multiple users is also made simple using Canon’s NMPJ software, which allows up to four users to show their work at any time for a truly engaging, collaborative experience.
