BenQ has launched a new entry-level projector in the form of the EP5920, providing high brightness and DLP technology for an affordable price.

The projector is aimed at lowering the cost of owning a 1080p-capable projector. The new model offers full HD resolution, and brightness of 1,800 ANSI lumens, as wall as a 4,500:1 contrast ratio and a six-segment colour wheel for an enhanced viewing experience.

The president of BenQ America Corp, Lars Yoder, said that the projector also has a lamplife of 5,000 hours and a very simple set-up process.

The projector’s connectivity options and ports include dual HDMI®, D-sub, composite, S-video, component RCA, audio in/out mini jack, USB, and RS-232. It also has a built-in 10W speaker that provides plug-and-play operation when external speakers or an audio system are not available.
