BenQ is the latest high profile projector manufacturer to unveil new products at CES 2013, with the announcement of the two new W1080ST and W1070 projectors.

The company has claimed that the models are the world’s first Full-HD short-throw video projectors and are capable of supporting multiple forms of 3D through a broad range of connectivity options.

A BenQ spokesman said that the W1080ST and the W1070 are adding to the company’s mission to provide customers with the ultimate in big screen entertainment in their living rooms.

The spokesman said, “Both projectors deliver full HD 1080p quality and are equipped with 3D capabilities through which you can enjoy all the fun of motion sensing and 3D games enhanced in size through the use of a home entertainment projector taking home entertainment & gaming to a whole new level.”

Both projectors have the ISFccc certification, issued by the Imaging Science Foundation, which has previously been the preserve of higher-priced displays. The certification indicates that users will benefit from a perfectly calibrated picture and the optimised ISF Day and ISF Night display modes.

The W1080ST is able to project 100-inch big screen in just 1.5 metres of throw space. Both models come with built-in 10W speakers and SmartEco power saving feature.
