Projector manufacturer BenQ has increased its share of the market according to the latest data released by independent consulting group Future Source.
Data from the organisation shows that BenQ had 12.3 per cent of the UK projector market between April and June 2014.
Royce Lye, UK sales and marketing director for BenQ, described the quarter as being a "strong" month for the company. He added: "The response to our range has been positive and this is backed by the independent reviews and awards we've received … our projector sales have gone from strength to strength in the UK."
Among the most popular BenQ projectors in the UK are the BenQ MW853UST and the BenQ RP700+, both of which were AV award finalist nominees. The award-winning BenQ W1070 has also sold well among UK home cinema purchasers.
BenQ was recently revealed to have extended its sponsorship of Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 9, which is set to come to an end in Poland in March 2015.
"We are absolutely delighted to make our contribution and show support for IEM for the fourth time in a roll," said Peter Huang, general manager of BenQ’s Technology Product Center.
