Barco has announced it is set to showcase its latest digital cinema projector at an upcoming event.
The manufacturer revealed that the new flagship DP4K-60L laser projector at the 2015 NAB Show, the world's largest media and entertainment content delivery exhibition.
Taking place in Las Vegas, the projector will go on display at the Technology Summit on Cinema: Building the Future of Storytelling on 11 and 12 April.
Barco said: "During the two-day conference, presenters will take attendees on a journey through next-gen technology and laser-enabled capabilities, while covering the art and science of storytelling."
Goran Stojmenovik, product manager of laser projection for Barco, will be at the NAB Show to take part in the 'Laser Illuminated Projectors: Out of the Lab, and into the Multiplex' session, in which he will discuss the many benefits that new laser-illuminated projectors are delivering, including higher brightness, a wider colour gamut and lower power consumption.
Also in attendance at the major industry event will be Ted Schilowitz, cinemavangelist for Barco, who is scheduled to present the topic Why Content Creators Should Care about Virtual Reality.
The new Barco DP4K-60L digital cinema laser projector is claimed by the manufacturer to be the brightest and quietest laser projector across the entire spectrum.
"As a single laser projector offering the ultimate image quality and simplicity, it seamlessly integrates into current systems while enabling exhibitors to decrease operating expenses," Barco added.
