Barco has announced a new addition to its portfolio of projectors, with the new single-chip DLP projector, called the RLS-W12.
The new device offers 12,000 lumens of brightness – WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) resolution – as well as extended warping and blending and HDBaseT technology, which will allow it to provide video over a single Cat 5 cable.
The projector is being aimed at medium-sized venues and live events, as a result of its optional rental frame, which makes it ideal for the staging market.
The RLS-W12 also features HDBaseT and BarcoLink technology, which allows for the support of point-to-point transmission of video signals up to WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) at 60 Hz from source to projector. This is able to be achieved over distances measuring more than 70 metres, through a single Cat 5 cable or a single BNC cable. It operates at full brightness on a voltage range of between 110V and 240V.
The projector can be controlled via the new wired or wireless remote control, the Barco Projector Toolset software or the projector control app for Android and iOS devices.
It will be available for purchase from next month, the company has revealed.
