BenQ has won a Technology Integrator magazine 2014 EXC!TE Award for its new Colorific HT1075 home theatre projector.

The projector has over a billion colour combinations, as well as boasting top features such as 3D-readiness, as well as the realism of full HD 1080p picture quality.

An optional connectivity kit also allows users to send content wirelessly to the projector from any type of device, whether it is a smartphone, a laptop or a tablet computer.

The news of the award win for the Colorific HT1075 home theatre projector from BenQ coincides with the device going on display at the CEDIA EXPO 2014 event in Denver, Colorado, US. The showcase is running from 10-13 September.

Attendees of this week's event will be able to check the award-winning HT1075 live out for themselves at the Elite Screens booth 980.

As well as the next-generation HT1075, BenQ will be displaying its short-throw counterpart, the HT1085ST. Both of the new devices were recently released and they will join the highly acclaimed W7500 home cinema projector as part of BenQ's existing home offerings.

BenQ recently announced it recorded a 20 per cent year-on-year growth in global shipment of projectors in the second quarter, with its market share up to a record high of 13 per cent as a result of that increase.
