  1. Chromecast incorporating projector unveiled by Acer

    Technology brand Acer has announced the world’s first projector with a hidden internal Chromecast wireless dongle support, marking the first of the firm's new 2015 offerings.

    The dedicated adaptor within the Acer H7550ST allows users to connect their Chromecast dongles, enabling simple, fast content sharing as well as the potential to stream audio to Bluetooth speakers.

    The device also boasts 1080p Full HD visual capabilities, 3,000 lumens of brightness and 20W stereo audio.

  2. Acer releases new gaming projector and range of 4K monitors

    Technology brand Acer has released its latest projector aimed at gamers, the C205 LED Pocket Projector, at a showcase event held this week.

    Developed for casual gamers, the new device offers two hours power-cable-free projection, high fidelity sound via 4W (2x2W) speakers and an LED lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.

    The C205 LED Pocket Projector also boasts an HDMI port, allowing gamers to connect the device up to their gaming console and share multimedia content using a smartphone or tablet.

  3. Acer expands projector business

    Projector manufacturer Acer has announced new partnerships with local distributors and retail chains to expand its projector business in Taiwan.

    The worldwide projector brand already has a large projector sales network across Taiwan but only provides consumers access to a limited number of models in small volumes, leaving space for expansion.

    As part of this growth, Acer has also agreed to cooperate with online shopping service providers to increase the promotion of all related products, and has even begun outsourcing through online companies.

  4. Acer voted number one in Germany

    Projector manufacturer Acer has been voted the top projector brand in Germany by the readers and viewers of one of the country's top technology awards.

    Acer won a Leser Award in the projector category, making it the top brand across the country according to Screen Magazine's list of Leser award winners for 2014.

    Acer has launched the new C205 LED based battery operated projector that's designed to project content from mobile devices straight on to a big screen.

    The tiny projector weighs just 300g and measures 144 x 108 x 27 mm, making it ideal for transporting on long journeys and use in smaller board room.

  7. Acer places number three in 2013 projector market

    Taiwanese technology manufacture Acer Inc has maintained a rank of third place in the global projector market share ranking.

    According to data from research company PMA Research, Acer shipped around 600,000 projectors in 2013, a 7.1 per cent share of the market. In first and second places came Japan's Seiko Epson Corporation, with 25 per cent of the market share, and BenQ, who had a market share of 9.3 per cent.

    Acer did perform significantly better within Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where is ranked number two with 13.8 per cent of the market share.

    Acer has announced its H5380BD home entertainment projector, aimed at home cinema enthusiasts wanting a true immersive experience from the comfort of their living rooms.
