Acer has released two new projectors from its X1 series aimed primarily at the business and education markets.
Both the X1261P and the X1110A use the latest in DLP display technology, but only the X1261P comes with 3D capabilities.
But to view projections in 3D using the X1261P, users will need to buy the Nvidia 3D Vision kit, which is sold separately.
The X1110A has a native SVGA (800 x 600) resolution, 2,500 ANSI lumens, and a 4,500:1 contrast ratio, while the X1261P is a little more powerful with XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 2,700 ANSI lumens, and a 3,700:1 contrast ratio.
As a bonus, Acer has also included long lasting lamps with around 6,000 hours of use in eco mode.
Both projectors have been released in the Middle East and India, but it is not known when they will be available in the UK.
S Rajendran, chief marketing officer of Acer India, said Acer had designed the two new X1 series projectors with "user friendliness" in mind.
"These two products from our stable will provide users with an improved experience while consuming multi media and 3D content as well as (allowing) for business purposes."
