Taiwanese technology manufacture Acer Inc has maintained a rank of third place in the global projector market share ranking.
According to data from research company PMA Research, Acer shipped around 600,000 projectors in 2013, a 7.1 per cent share of the market. In first and second places came Japan's Seiko Epson Corporation, with 25 per cent of the market share, and BenQ, who had a market share of 9.3 per cent.
Acer did perform significantly better within Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where is ranked number two with 13.8 per cent of the market share.
The company have credited their continued success with the release of their broad range of projectors, including small, medium and enterprise projectors for business use.
Many of Acer's projectors target the home entertainment market, and all of these run on LED while providing up to 6,000 lumens of brightness and WUXGA resolution.
Acer's latest projector, the K137 LED, recently won the 2014 iF Product Design Award, which celebrates outstanding product designs from across the globe. The K137 is a pocket-sized projector, which comes equipped with audio and SRS sound effects to produce a high quality images and videos.
