Acer named CES 2016 Innovations Award Honouree
Acer has been named as a CES 2016 Innovations Award Honouree for three innovative products, including a projector aimed at the gaming community.

CES is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology trade show that takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the 2016 iteration of the renowned event, Acer will be in the limelight thanks to its Predator Z850 gaming projector, Predator 8 gaming tablet and Revo Build modular PC.

Naturally, here at ProjectorPoint it is the gaming projector that we are most interested in.

The Predator Z850 is a cutting-edge 16:6 ultra-wide laser gaming projector. It features the convenience of mirror-less ultra-short-throw technology, 3,000 lumens brightness, innovative laser illumination, and three unique gaming display modes.

Gamers have long been advocates of using projectors because they offer larger pictures that provide a more life-like experience. When coupled with surround sound audio setups, having a giant, high quality image in front of a gamer can offer a far more immersive gaming session.

The fact that the Consumer Technology Association has put Acer forward for an award due to its Predator Z850 projector is a clear illustration that the company has a strong reputation within the gaming community.

Maarten Schellekens, vice president of global marketing and branding at Acer, commented: "Acer is delighted to have been recognised by the highly respected Consumer Technology Association for excellence across three product categories.

"These prestigious awards are a testament to Acer’s product innovation, design excellence and superior functionality that give our customers an outstanding experience with their computing devices."
