Acer’s new H9500 projector has been designed to give viewers a similar visual experience to watching a movie in a cinema.
The projector offers full HD images with a native aspect ratio of 16:9 and uses DynamicBlack technology, which fine tunes each image to optimal black levels while keeping the original brightness of images, achieving a contrast ratio as high as 50,000:1.
Viewers also get an enhanced home cinema experience thanks to the True 24p feature, which enables the projector to display a 1,080p resolution image in 24 frames per second. Plus, Acer’s True Motion technology with MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation) reduces motion blur and improves picture clarity.
Acer says its use of ColorSafe II, DLP technology and proprietary colour compensation technology means the H9500 is “virtually immune to colour decay” – which adds a yellow or green tinge to images on screen.
The projector delivers brightness of 2,000 lumens and has a lamplife of up to 2,500 hours. Two HDMI ports connect to Blu-ray players, set top boxes, consoles or other video sources.
There is no need to set up a projector screen as the H9500 can project onto coloured surfaces simply by adjusting the wall colour in the OSD menu.
