The Mitsubishi XD280U has extensive connectivity options allowing numerous sources to all be connected simultaneously. 2 VGA inputs allows two computers to be connected and then switched between instantly whilst a HDMI input allows for a true digital connection.
The inclusion on a LAN RJ45 input on the XD280U is unheard of in projector in this price range. The RJ45 input allows you to remote monitor the XD280U to check on things such as lamp hours used or be notified if the projector develops a fault. The RJ45 also allows a control room computer, equipped with projector-control software to send simultaneous messages in real time, to a series of XD280U's connected to the LAN. Ideal for broadcasting important information to multiple projectors, users can send messages up to 350 characters long.
Mitsubishi have reduced operating and maintenance costs by making the XD280U more energy efficient, with an energy saving standby setting and a long lamp life of up to 6,000 hours. In addition the filter free design reduces dirt and dust particles entering the projector therefore minimising service issues.
Eliminating the need for an external speaker, the XD280U has a built in high-volume 10W speaker.
