Our review on the Epson EMP-S5 Projector

Having taken a look at the Epson EMP-S5 in our demo room we were mighty impressed with it. The menu features for image adjustment were numerous and worthy of a price tag double the cost of its current selling price. Independent Red, Green and Blue adjustment, colour saturation adjustment, sharpness and tint were all present.

In addition the EMP-S5 also has digital zooom control on the projector itself, something not seen on any other projector in its class. Build quality is excellent but then this is an Epson projector. Stying for a projector of this price is exceptionally high with a two tone matte grey and gloss white casing . 

If you want to run dvd video through it, it can be done using the Composite video input. Colours after tinkering with the wealth of image adjustments was very lifelike but we would say the black level could be better. However at the end of the day this is primarily an education/business projector and for the money it is the best we have seen in a long time.
