Sony has announced the latest addition to its range of 4K projectors.
The company revealed the VPL-VW350ES at January's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and it proved to be one of the biggest new product launches at the event.
Toshifumi Okuda, Sony Electronics deputy president, said: "With our 4K projection expertise, Sony is unrivalled in our ability to offer breathtaking image quality. The VPL-VW350ES enables us to deliver the very best home cinema experience to even more of our customers."
The new VPL-VW350ES adds to Sony's home theatre projector line-up and offers four times the resolution of Full HD with a 4K native resolution (4,096 x 2,160).
Sony's 4K SXRDTM panel technology is used in the new projector so that the device can achieve high resolution images without compromising deep contrast and fast motion capabilities, the company noted.
The firm's exclusive TRILUMINOSTM technology has also been added to the projector, with its enhanced optical engine design providing rich colour reproduction offering pure, bold colours.
Sony announced that the projector boasts 1,500 lumens brightness for more vibrant tones and increased precision, while its Motionflow picture technology delivers clearer images when watching fast-paced, sports action.
The new VPL-VW350ES 4K projector has all the latest connectivity standards through HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 ports, allowing users to watch content through services from Sony, Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.
