A short throw widescreen projector is the newest addition to the range of projectors offered by US consumer electronics manufacturer, InFocus.
The IN146 projector has native WXGA (1280×800) resolution that allows for the accurate and optimum displaying of content from widescreen laptops and PCs without the need for scaling.
The combination of the projector's short throw capabilities with its widescreen display, makes it ideal for use with interactive whiteboards in classrooms and other educational facilities. It can easily be mounted on a wall or ceiling to create vivid images up to 60 inches in size from a distance as little as 2.5 feet.
The IN146 provides a brightness of 2,700 lumens with full 3D capability and HDMI input. The projector can also be set up to operate wirelessly, through the InFocus LiteShow III wireless adaptor. It has a lamp life of 6,000 hours and used filter-free DLP technology.
The company's product manager, Robert Detwiler, said that the projector was the perfect, affordable solution for organisations that needed modern projection capabilities on a strict budget.
"From use with interactive whiteboards to an AV resource shared between classrooms or conference rooms, its features ensure flexible high-quality projection and a long, low-cost life," he said.
