Casio expands LampFree projector range

Casio America Inc. has expanded its LampFree projection range with the addition of a new lineup of Signature projectors geared towards the hospitality industry.

The new range feature Casio's LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source, which combines a laser with a fluorescent element and LEDs to generate a high brightness capability.

The new generation light source technology offers 30 per cent more light output than previous generations, providing 20,000 hours lifespan with a very low degradation in brightness and continuous operation. The use of this specialist lamp-free technology saves users around $800 after 6,000 hours of use compared to the traditional projectors, which are based on mercury lamps.

Each projector in the new range also provides a powerful 3D graphic experience thanks to a fully connectable interface, which includes three types of video and audio inputs, HDMI and RGB terminals.

Complete with 2GB of internal memory, the LampFree Signature projectors support a number of file formats including PDF and QuickTime, all of which can be stored in the device for easy playback.

Commenting on the new additions to the Signature range, general manager of Casio's Business Projector Division Matt Mustachio said: "Since its introduction, the Signature series has become our most popular product line with the K-12 education market. These new feature enhancements will further solidify the Signature series' popularity."
