Acer has announced it is launching a new LED projector that features an intelligent ambient light sensor for cinema on the go.
The company revealed the Acer K138ST, which is an ultra-portable short throw LED projector, as well as the Acer U5320W ultra-short throw projector and the full HD projector the Acer P5515.
Acer is promoting the K138ST as the world’s first LED projector that has an intelligent ambient light sensor.
The device is capable of projecting an image of up to 100 inches with only 1.7m distance to the projection surface. Acer says the device "eliminates shadowing and enhances viewing comfort", which the manufacturer highlighted as a significant benefit for classrooms.
The Acer P5515 is described by the company as being ideal for mid-sized meeting rooms as it "provides a clear viewing experience even in bright environments". With the device featuring built-in 2x10W speakers that provide powerful sound without requiring external speakers, it is likely to be a popular choice.
All of the new projectors that have been launched by Acer support wireless projection, which enables users of the devices to "break free from wired inconveniences".
Acer added: "Paired with the wireless dongle, the projectors support direct screen projection (through Miracast) from devices with Windows 8.1 or Android 4.2.2 and above."
