How to change a Projector Lamp
1. When the projector lamp
approaches the end of it’s life you will receive a warning on screen similar
to:

At this stage the lamp should be replaced – do not
exceed warranted lamp life by more than 20%, as an old lamp becomes
increasingly and dangerously fragile, resulting in possible explosion, which can
cause damage to your projector.
2. To determine the
age of your current lamp, consult the lamp hours this is usually in the menu
option, consult your manual to see how to get to this option if you are not
sure.

3. If a lamp needs to
be replaced please use our projector lamp search facility to find the
correct lamp for your projector. Never
install a lamp intended for a different model or projector.
4. The high pressure
of the lamp increases with changes in temperature. Failure to allow the lamp too
sufficiently cool prior to handling has the potential to explode, causing
injury so please ensure that your projector has cooled for at least 30 minutes.
5. Remove the power
lead from the projector and locate the lamp cover. On most projectors this is normally on the
bottom of the projector and will have 3 or 4 screws to remove the plate.

6. Remove the screws
holding the lamp in place, some models may only have a clip and remove the lamp
module from the projector.

7. To ensure
environmental safety please dispose of the lamp responsibly if you do not have
access to a recycling service please use the following link to http://www.plrd.org/return.asp have your lamp
recycled.
8. Once you have
received your new lamp, reverse the process in order to fit your lamp.
9. Once the lamp has
been installed restore power to the projector, and check the lamp. You will also need to reset the lamp hours to
0 via the projector menu options.
