There is nothing better than seeing the Epson EH-TW9300W for yourself.
To achieve this image, Place the Projector 0 to 0 metres back from the screen.
The Epson EH-TW9300W has taken a significant leap forwards from the model it replaced, whilst not a true 4K projector the TW9300W uses eShift to create a 4K, HDR images that are simply stunning.
Ok so what it eShift and how does it work. Epson newest models (TW7300, TW9300 and the TW9300W) capture 4K signal inputs and then use Epson 4K Enhancement Technology to shift each pixel diagonally by 0.5 pixels to increase the resolution to what looks remarkably like 3840 × 2160 4K, also know as wobulated 4K. Whilst any purist would say that to display 4K effectively the projector should have a native 4K panel, this can be misleading as video processing, quality of optics, heat diserpation and components all have a huge impact on performance.
With that in mind we have tested and can demo the TW9300 and TW9300W side by side versus Sony VW320ES (which has a true 4K panel) and whilst the VW320ES takes the edge in terms of clarity, vivid colours and overall image quality, the TW9300W is not far off. In fact once calibrated to your own environment then the difference in image quality is more down to individual preference than anything else. For a difference in price of over £2000 the EH-TW9300W offers fantastic price performance.
The added feature of the EH-TW9300W is that is also comes supplied with the a 4K WiHD transmitter, making installation a breeze with no cables needed to connect up to 4 HDMI sources (other than power, we'd be worried if power was wireless!). Motorised optics makes precision set-up possible for both zoom and focus, something typically only offered on high end install projectors. Motorised optics includes a powered 2.1x optical zoom, powered focus and a powered lens shift of ±96.3% vertical and ±47.1% horizontal.
HDR support offers detail and depth to images, previously unavailable and with more and more 4K / HDR content coming it really has to be seen to be believed.
