The system combines wireless remotes, a receiver and powerful assessment software. You can instantly add questions to lessons or prepare quizzes and tests in advance, and then report, track and evaluate the results. Students use the remotes to instantly respond to questions and quizzes, and the software automatically tallies, summarizes and files the results. You can access SMART Response software directly from a tab in SMART Notebook software. This seamless integration lets you easily insert questions into your lessons. It also allows you to add interactive and multimedia content to tests and quizzes, making them more engaging. Import questions from SMART’s education website, Microsoft® applications and other popular file formats. Or, create your own assessments by choosing from a variety of question types. Simple prompts and links guide you every step of the way, making it easy to perform any task. A comprehensive gradebook built into SMART Response software allows you to organize and categorize students’ grades and test scores. Assessment results are automatically added to the gradebook and saved in a single file. All assessment data can be viewed and managed through Teacher Tools. This management feature makes it easy to create class lists, conduct assessments and view reports, all from one location. Reports can be as simple or as detailed as you need – from personalized reports on individual students to high-level comparisons of student results. Promethean ACTIVOTE
Deliberately simple to use (so that the technology doesn’t interfere with the Teaching and Learning), the system is equally effective in the Foundation Stage as it is within Higher Education. Although lower-case lettered handsets are available for younger children, age differentiation is made mainly through the choice of either piece of Promethean’s award-winning software (Activprimary or Activstudio). Flexibility is key in any learning environment hence why Activote can be used is several ways. Integrated into Promethean’s software it can be used ad-hoc, allowing teachers to ask unplanned questions as they occur. However, it also works effortlessly over any application or website. Similarly, teachers can choose between using the supplied pre-prepared content and easily making their own with the aid of the inbuilt Question Master Wizard. What comes with ActiVote?
